Overview:

Senate Bill 294 would create the “Safe Firearm Storage Act” and require the secure storage of firearms when not carried, and all firearms would be required to be sold or transferred with a lock, increasing expenses and liabilities for gun stores conducting transfers. The bill would also add active shooter preparedness to school safety training.

UPDATE (April 4, 2023): NVFACPAC is now neutral with an amendment that would roll back the storage requirements to the 2019 law.
