Overview:
AB81 seeks to amend the existing law NRS 206.265 in order to allow a person who is licensed to carry a concealed firearm in the state of Nevada to have a firearm in a vehicle on school property, including property owned by the Nevada System of Higher Education, or property owned by a public or private school or a child care facility, if the following criteria are met:
- The firearm must be in a vehicle which is occupied, or
- The firearm must be inside a locked vehicle if unoccupied, or
- The firearm must be in a locked container which is secured to the inside of the vehicle.
